Portugal has won three consecutive times the "Best Golf Destination in the World", distinguished by the World Golf Awards. What most value them are the conditions of excellence, the various configurations, degrees of difficulties and traces, the scenario in which many of them are inserted, when they are located near the sea or near the city, through lakes or sand dunes.

Monte Rei Golf & Country Club, Vila Nova de Cacela, Algarve
Monte Rei is the first resort in Portugal with two golf courses, the North course is signed by the architect Jack Nicklaus, a name recognized in other projects. Situated in the eastern part of the Algarve, this fascinating venture is distinguished by being among the top ten in Europe, according to the opinion of many publications in this area. With eighteen holes, this field has a challenging layout, which deserves to be tested.

San Lorenzo Golf Course, Quinta do Lago, Algarve
Opened in 1988 and designed by American architects Joseph Lee and Rocky Roquemore, the San Lorenzo Golf Course offers a superb view over Quinta do Lago, on the shore of the Ria Formosa estuary and over saltwater lagoons. With eighteen holes and beautiful Bermuda grass fairways, the course provides the conditions to play a perfect game. In addition, it maintains a partnership with the five-star hotel, Dona Filipa.

Praia D’El Rey Golf, Óbidos, Leiria
Between dunes and pine forests, the golf course of Praia D'El Rey, set in a unique location, offers a spectacular view of the Atlantic and the Berlengas archipelago. Open to the public since 1997, it was designed by renowned American architect Cabell B. Robinson. A true oasis of golf for lovers of this elite sport, due to the deep bunkers, sloping greens and dunes that contrast with the luxurious fairways.

Penha Longa Golf Club, Sintra
Founded in 1992, the Penha Longa Golf Club was built by Robert Trent Jones Jr, who took note of the topography of the Serra de Sintra, and signed the twenty-seven holes that do the wonders of golfers. Sloping terrain and water obstacles require a high level of precision and experience from the players. Considered one of Europe's top 30 golf courses, it is among the Top 100 of European Golf Resorts 2017.

Estela Golf Club, Póvoa do Varzim, Porto
The private and exclusive Estela Golf Club is one of the most luxurious golf courses in Portugal. Located in front of the Atlantic Ocean, in a protected environmental area, it gives direct and exclusive access to the beach. In 2016, it was voted the fifth best golf course in Portugal by the prestigious publication Golf Digest. Founded in 1989 and designed by the Aquitto Duarte Sotto-Mayor, this is a challenging, eighteen-hole course that requires considerable experience from golfers.

Oitavos Dunes, Quinta da Marinha, Cascais
The Quinta da Marinha golf course is located near the Guincho. It's a project by architect Arthur Hills. Through natural topography overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, created a class space with the "natural links golf". In this field several important international competitions take place. In the ranking published annually by Golf Magazine in 2015, Oitavos Dunes climbed 7 places in the list, being considered the 58 best field in the world and the second best in Continental Europe.
