It was 115 years ago that the saga began, when traveling on a steamboat was fashionable. The Louis Vuitton designed the Steamer, a soft wallet aside that easily fit in the drawer of a chest. Crafted in canvas with a reinforced base in leather and sturdy handles, it could be placed anywhere or conveniently hung in the cabin of a boat.

Since then, the steamer sailed through time to become a true City Bag and was honored by Nicolas Ghesquière in its Cruise 2016 collection. It was from that moment that came the new City Steamer, endowed with all the qualities of a sophisticated bag.

In smooth or grainy calf skin, also has a contemporary look by combining two or three colors and ultra-chic versions of rare materials.
